Sweet! I like anything of the "Khyber" variety. I've been looking at this new one from Windlass: http://www.museumreplicas.com/p-1045-charay.aspx.

Who made that particular one? Any other details, like steel type?

At first glance, it made me think to a Falcata. But it indeed have some bowie features, and lack some of the typical falcata's ones. The spine is straighter than on the Iberic weapon, and doesn't have the almost D-guard so typical. But length, ricasso, and recurve profile match. It is really the strange mix of a bowie and a falcata. The brass back may be usefull on a bowie, but i don't see the utility on such a long blade, and the handle seems to have a poor grip considering the size of the tool. I guess though it's a valuable collector item.
