I'ver read somewhere their swords are not of consistent quality, because they're made in different factories (European stuffs are made in India, Japanese/Asian stuffs are made is China) If you read closely on the sword buyer's guide site, the finish is said to be mediocre/poor on some Indian made swords, while the Chinese made Gim is said to be good. Haven't handled one of them yet, just saying what I've read/heard.

I was planning to get a Grosse Messer or a Chinese Battle Sword, but the funds are very low/dry, and you can guess why. :p
