Well the Buck Stockman 301 is going back to Chuck Buck for replacement as the blades wiggle and the side panel is loose : (
The Rough Rider custom models with file work for $15 wholesale are tight as a drum and an amazing deal. I also got a couple Brian Yellowhorse designed Rough Rider knives for $15 and the handles are thick textured turqouis another amazing deal for the money.
In this third batch of Rough Rider knives, eighteen, all are perfect.

This item is scanned not photographed.
I also just noticed the RR emblem is a bit crooked : (
Nothing much else to complain about for $4 wholesale, I carry this one in my pocket daily.

I got asked the same question on AllAboutPocketKnives.Com and the natives are beginning to get their panties all bunched up about so many pretty Rough Rider knife photos and because Brian Yellowhorse is deisgning Rough Rider knives. It doesn't have an end to the Chinese haters and economically ignorant fools.
I got all I need, but I want all they got ; )
They work real nice to. . .
I hope you like the photos? I think I am getting a little better with the lighting?

Rough Rider Mother of Pearl Custom Congress.
The subtle iridescent mother of pearl shell is difficult to capture without turning the knife in the light but it is really pretty.
Also notice the file work on the springs and blade, fluted bolsters, it comes in a black wooden display box. The cost is only $15 wholesale, an amazing deal!

Rough Rider Smooth Bone Large Lockback
The knife seemed slimmer than my old Buck and Schrade so I compared them and they are identical. Now my old Buck is retired to the drawer to be handed down to my children ; )

photos are looking good. I need to build me a light box or buy one so I can take better photos.
As usual I am on the cheap, so I got a folding light box from Amazon and some chrome clamp on utility lamps from wal-mart and daylight compact fluorescent bulbs ; )
My camera equipment is a Nikon D40 with 18-55mm kit lens. The Nikon D40 is good at 6mp which makes is easier to upload. The files are 2-3 mb using full resolution fine jpeg files.
I have a lot of camera equipment more Canon digital and almost all Nikon F series film cameras and lenses and a Bronica medium format.
Its difficult to photograph shiney things like knives you have to be able to control the light. Outdoors would be nice but I live in the city and the neighbors would call the law if I came out on the porch with a stack of knives : ( I should be using manual focus for better results with macro photography also but I always just use auto spot focus (lazy again)
Some things I've noticed are that all Canon Point & Shoot cameras over expose as does the Nikon D40 so I set the exposure compensation to -.3 and the flash compensation to -.3 - to -.7 for macro photos. I prefer Canon digital equipment as Canon DSLRs are usually dead on with exposure "if" you take the reading from the right area in the frame; usually the brightest area. I have the Canon Speedlite 580 II flash and many other flashes but the lamps do a better job within the light box as you can position them, two should be plenty, I am using one because I am too lazy to get a power strip to plug the other one in : (
I plan to do better photography in 2010. . .

I have 2 medium format cameras. A Mamiya RZ67 and a Fuji GX680 III. I develop my own color film in a Jobo processor. I'm not a professional it's just a hobby. I prefer working with film compared to digital. I bought them only a few months ago. Here are two I took with the medium formats. My digital is a Nikon D200
The knives are looking good. :thumb:

Nice equipment and photos!
Here are a few Bronica medium format photos of the Inner Harbor in Baltimore City Maryland
Medium format and 35mm film has a different look and more detail but is only as good as the scan when presented digitally.
Good photos.
I have a Epson photo scanner. It does a pretty darn good job at scanning the negatives. It's a cheaper model but it works well. I'm considering getting Epsons flagship model V750-M Pro http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/426128-REG/Epson_B11B178061_Perfection_V750_M_Pro_Flatbed.htm l
I have a Durst laboratory 1400 color enlarger for making my own prints but I haven't fired it up yet. It will make poster size prints.
I really like my Fuji camera. It's bigger than a brick :D but it's nice. It's all motorized and electronic and has some great lenses. I bought most everything from eBay. I have been wanting to play with medium format for a long time but it was out of my price range. Now since digital has taking over it has become cheap.
I use the tetenal c-41 press kit in the Jobo for developing the film. It's not hard to do at all and only takes about 15 minuets to develop 5 rolls of film. Fun Stuff !!! :D

Funny I am doing a similar thing since film equipment is nearly or actually given away. I have a Durst enlarger and a refrigerator full of 35mm, 120 black and White and color film. I plan to develope some B&W but not color. I have a really good collection of Nikon F model 35mm cameras.
I too have a Epson 3490 and a newer V500 scanner. They do ok for money.
KEH.com is a good place for used camera equipment but the best deal are local on craigs list for me. Also there is a local camera shop that takes film camera for trade then sells them for practically no profit.
As you say photography is fun. . .
Yeah were doing the same thing. :D It is fun and it's more fun when it's affordable. Most of the equipment I bought was worth thousands of dollars new when it was still the standard. Now people just want to get rid of it. Good for us. :thumb::D
Check out APUG if you haven't already. http://www.apug.org/forums/home.php It's an analog forum only. No digital talk allowed there. Their not against digital. They just wanted to keep it focused on film without all the distractions on other photography forums.

Yeah I got the film equipment for cents of what it cost. The Bronica was a whole system with power winder and extra grip, extra backs I have boxes of stuff for it and it is like new only a few roles of film ever exposed. I have so many Nikon F series cameras. I think the F3 is the best deal for the money light, small for an F and great exposures. I also have a convertor to use the old Nikkor lenses on the Canon cameras even the digital cameras. I'll take some knife photos using the Nikon lense (Nikkor 55mm Micro) on the Canon camera with next batch of knives I order soon ; )
Those old Nikkor lenses are outstanding, I have a ton of them.
Thanks for the link I'll check it out.
I was looking at Bronicas the other day. Plenty of them on the bay. Nice cameras. :thumb: I would like to get a smaller more compact medium format as both of mine are big.
