Is the handle plated brass or steel? I've read the edges on those contact the handle when closed, so brass is preferable. Some guys also put a strip of adhesive-backed felt down into the handle too.

Its a chrome plated steel handle, the blade is riveted to the handle with brass bushings in between on each side. The blade appears to be forged. Its a basic simple practical constructed knife. I love the blade shape. I need to find a fixed blade version of this knife with the exact same blade shape.

That is a neat looking knife. :thumb:

Jim, seeing how it's a friction folder, is there enough resistance to opening that you'd feel comfortable carrying it around in your pocket?

edit: just watched some vids about these at youtube and they look pretty secure. Still, I'd be interested in your firsthand opinion.

Its got plenty of friction now as its new but I wouldn't carry it in my pocket without a sheath "everyday" I am sure there is a sheath available as there is one for the Svord Peasant Knife. Even a rubber band or velcro would help as you wouldn't want it to open in your pocket for many reasons!

Did you get this from eBay ? I was looking at some on there so I was curious if this is were you bought it from. I may order one and give it a try.
