Took out the TB this morning to beat on it. :D

Did a little chopping first, it's no BM but it did good. Then I went into driving it into a log with a batten giving it some very hard whacks, did great there too. After that I split a few logs whacking it pretty good since they were still pretty green. It's a splitting machine I can tell you that. After all of that I drove it into a stump and gave it a few side whacks with the baton until it came out. This is one tough knife. :D

The finish held up great, hardly any marks on it all, after cleaning it up I had to tilt it into the light to see them. Fantastic knife.

I hear you there, but I don't want to dent up the edge cutting metal so I guess we will have to wait on that one awhile. :D

It's my current user since my CGFBM is at the Busse SPA now getting her treatment. :thumb:

Have fun my friend:rockon:

It was pretty sharp when I got it, it would slice printer paper easy, but not newspaper.

Now it will slice through newspaper like it's not even there with hardly a sound at all.

Hello Jankerson. Nice photos and interesting test. Just a question : is this knife "fast" in the hand ? Just asking because, though I am a Busse fan, I have to admit that those knives are a bit heavy (I have NMSFNO and I had a FFBM). The tank buster being smaller and lighter...

I would hurry up and order within the next week at the latest because they might be coming down. The Bushwhacker Mistress will be going up soon.

IF you want a Tank Buster for Busses price and not the huge markup I mean.

The new bushwhacker looks nice but it's going to be to thin for me I'm afraid.

I think it might be a 1/4" thick, not too sure yet.

Yeah we'll see what it ends up being. If it comes in smaller then the NMFBM. I see no reason for me to buy one. I'll have to wait for the specs first. It will be great that people will get another shot at getting a mistress though. :thumb:

I am really liking the Bowie blade profile though. :)

We will see how big it is and how it stacks up against my CGFBM chopping. :D

I think the CGFBM is the best looking Mistress made. Just my opinion. I won't ever part with mine. EVER !!! :D

At least when this new one comes out I can answer all the emails I get asking where they can get one. I always give them the same answer. Secondary market.

It is I agree. :D :thumb:

The secondary market markup is huge though. :(

I am ordering from Busse from now on to get real prices.

Yeah I know ? It can be pricey. If the new ones are thinner they should be a little lower in price. Maybe.:D

Well the good thing is that my Tank Busters will be worth a lot more than I paid for them in the future. The Camo one will be worth a lot more with the options it has. ;)

They only go up in value. Used ones don't go for much less.

Yeah I know, I paid a markup on my CGFBM, but it was worth it for the options It has.

I paid about 100 bucks more for my combat grade than the Busse asking price.
Will sold me the NMFBM at his cost from Busse. :thumb:

It was worth it to me. I'm not easy on my knives in the field and I'm sure the bush crafter babies would cry tears if they saw me using them :p But I like using/abusing them hard and appreciate them more this way. Busse knives are made for my use. :thumb:

Yeah they are like the ones who always say knives are ment for slicing.

There is this huge trend over on BF now about thin blades and slicing etc.....

Mostly it's BS because we all know that thicker blades can and do slice well.

So it's the ZT, Strider, CR Sebbie, Hinderer and a few others against the cheap thin bladed POS letter openers that people seem to love.

I just tell them to get a freaking $5 Paring knife at Wal-Mart and shut up.

I like the photos of the tomato slicing. Many of them think if you can't slice a tomato paper thin then a thick blade is worthless in the outdoors or survival situation. Pure BS. :jerkit:

Well most of them, 95% will never use their knives for more than opening letters showing off to their fellow mall ninjas while they all stand around in their girl shorts by Starbucks. :jerkit:

I heard that. :thumb: Many of them live in fantasy land anyways. They say they use them hard for years then post photos of their knives and there is not one single scratch on it. Must be some damn durable finishes on those knives.:jerkit::D

Yeah you mean showing them off to their fellow mall ninja friends. LOL

That is hard use to them, that's why they carry such wimpy thin bladed knives.... And they are cheap too for the most part. :jerkit:
