So many kits so many senarios.

That's a good one, but I keep adding things until it becomes a backpack bug out bag : )

I do the same, but I like to have a poketable kit for when I don't have my pack. I made up an altoids kit at one time but it turned out to be too noisy and I never could fir all the stuff I wanted in it. Now I use a Doug Ritter PSP with some stuff added, but I also carry some stuff that won't fit in the pouch such as a water bottle, map/compass, sheath knife, SAK or multitool, flashlite, bandana, poncho and a heat sheet for shelter.
