Hail Mora! My absolute favorite "cheap" knives. Cheap in price, but outstanding quality. I have close to two dozen Moras, from small, wood-handled, laminated models to the Mora 2k. In fact, I just posted a modded 2k the other day at KF that I converted to a drop point.

I'll agree that lead is super soft, but hammering and twisting a knife through it its definitely gonna be hard on the knife. Glad to see the little guy came through it so well.

I couldn't really pick just one. I currently have 4 favorites:

#SL-134
#711-G
#2000 Mora 2k
#780 Triflex

The #106 is my favorite. Pure function.

I have the #120 which is basically a shorter version of the #106, as far as I can tell. Another great little knife. The two I want to pick up in the near future are these:

The darker bottom sheath on the #137 has been wax treated, which Ragnar does for like an extra $2. I'm going to have that done when I pick mine up.

The handle on the #223 is now yellow rather than black, as Rag describes on his site. It actually still looks pretty cool, though.

Looks like they've added a lanyard hole as well.

Cool test one the Mora. They are tough. The one I tested would have gone much longer if it had a full tang. There as almost no damage to the blade after being pounded into concrete.

I have a Mora 2000 I may do a d test on it. this time I will go through the same steps as all the other knives.

I changed it up because it was donated by an individual an he requested I not use the hammer on it :( an I thought it was appropriate but the Mora 2000 is mine so anything goes this time around. :D

Yeah, the plastic handled Frosts knives (like the Clipper you tested) are all slightly less than half-tang, but the Erikssons (like the 2k and 711-G) are full tang. Frosts and Eriksson were merged awhile ago into Mora of Sweden, so I don't know what structural changes may be made in the future. For now I think they're just continuing production of both lines under one company. You may still crack the rubber-coated plastic handles on the Erikksons, but they shouldn't come clear off the tang like the Frosts did.

Yeah. Thats what I figure as well. I have flexed the Mora 2000 some and it feels darn strong for a thin blade.
