Kinda makes me wonder what kind of wood those 2x4's are that they use in those cutting competitions.
The 2x4 I used is Yellow Pine from Home Depot, it's hard and dense..
I'm not sure what they use. I never really looked into it. I sometimes use the yellow 2/4s from home depot in the tests If I can find good ones that is in the store. Many times I get there and people have picked out all the good ones and left the crap behind. I mainly buy the white 2x4s there since they are free of knots and defects most of the time. Sometimes I use pressure treated ones also. If I have them left over from other projects.
