Nice. :thumb: I don't get what all the controversy is about the spine whack test. :rolleyes: It's perfectly reasonable. Then again at this point I have pretty much stopped trying to figure out all the whiners.

As Sal Glesser Pointed out it's just to test the lock to make sure it's reliable, not to try and make it fail. :) :thumb:

There were some who were saying I should have pounded them a lot harder and I was like NO I hit them hard enough. :)

Yes, this is really reasonnable test. If some lock fails this test, well, it's more like a slipjoint!

You did fine. The goal is not to break it but just to make sure the lock parts mate up like they are suppose to.

Cold Steel whacks the knife spine extremely hard in their proof video.

I guess individual knife spine whack test and proof to be sure is justifiable.

Believe me, I was denting the wood and that is more than hard enough. ;)

I have seen folders fail with a lot less force than I was hitting them.
