Swamp Rat (Ratweiler)

Hey Noss, I think a swamp rat knife in SR101 steel would make for a good test. From what one can read and the many user reports it looks like it can take quite a bit of punishment. It shows very good toughness, and chip resistance. Although they are not plenty available they can be had for almost half of a Busse, which is the "the king of toughness"

SR101-- (a variation of 52100) is the combination of an extremely fine-grained tool steel and a proprietary multi-step tempering protocol. This process includes the incorporation of a deep cryogenic treatment for grain refinement (and in some knives) differential tempering which adds greatly to the overall toughness and strength. Jerry say's SR101 is the closest thing to INFI It cant do everything INFI can but it comes close. I would like to see just how close.

Im pretty sure this one would give you a workout Noss. More so than a Ranger or Chris Reeve im sure. :D

well, they newest design is the chopweiler so.
if it is a chopweiler, I can't wait.
I think swamprats have proven themselves tough for everyone just from the story when the guy cut himself out of a jeep,,,
and from cliffstamps reviews.

The Mini Uncle Mojo is one, that I just love this blade, a very good chopper and is pretty good in the finer things.

Me too, I see Noss just came into possesion of a Skinny Ash for testing, and Destruction. That is the Busse I own. And if he does a Chopweiler well I just got one of those. Hurry up Noss I cant wait much longer :headbang:
