Hello Bros! Lots of pics, pretty much in order. One bad blade! Only sharpened it once after cutting through "Barn Tin" to skin Timber Rattler! (like a scalpel) P Moores knives are bad 2 the bone!

No prob, I saw it all. There are so few things in this world that stand alone without any hype. This knife is clearly one of those rare tools. Ya' dun good!

Kuro, Madneum,Tourist, thanks so much for your comments. My next Paul Moore knife will be a large chopper "G-Zilla", a fitting mate to the "T-REX"
Paul is an awesome knifemaker, & a cool dude!

Carney, as you know from posts here, Noss and I have a differing slant on how knives are evaluated. Clearly, there is a need for the "crash test" element of cutlery, but I'm more of a "test flight" individual.

In my own work, I look for challenges in much the same fashion as you peformed. Each style of knife has features making it a good choice for certain jobs. A nakiri is great for effortlessly slicing vegetables, and your T-Rex just blew me away with its success in your life.

More to the point, it looks like you had a great weekend, pursuing the things you love to do with an excellent tool. How many folks get to say that? You look like a very lucky man, and I wish I had been there!

And the knife world needs the "Crash Test" & "Test Flights", then you get the Best of both worls!

Carney Your knife looks like a great stand alone knife--I've had a bunch of knives made but each one seemed to lack something--that's why I kept having another made. Yours looks like you have all the right features from the slight recurve--nice spine--great handle--and full tang Does that make you
forget about the Fecas Offsetter? I'm also with some of the other guys--a shotgun would be a tool
of choice to start

Thanks DanOh.
the offsider, she will never be forgotten Brother. Took my first gatorwith her, & lost her in the process.
But, I am truly satisfied with my "T-REX"
Paul is bringing the profile of my chopper "GZilla" next weekend. Noss will love it(10" blade!)
In the bush, I prefer a 10" "Knife" blade over a larger machete anyday.

First-I took may Offsetter to a knife maker and had micarta handle scales put on which really beefed it up and made it solid
Second-after those custom knives I had made, I went and bought a S&W HRT China made knife that has the slight recurve. It works as I wanted it but it's nothing like yours. You did GOOD---looking forward to the new Big one GZilla--your friend Paul does nice work

Carney---I will post pics when I get my new camera set.
It wasn't the easiest thing for him to do because of all groove cuts but it worked out to both of our satisfaction. Plus I thought is was worth it--I really like the knife
