It took a little work to get through that 4x4. If I can make a suggestion without offending you. Alternate your chops from left to right about every 1 or 2
chops this way it will clear the cut out faster. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Man. :thumb:

Yep I know that. :D

I tend to look at how well it's biting then alternate then back and so on. :)

Yes you are completely right though that 4x4 was very hard and even as well as the Basic 11 chops it's still only 17.2 ounces. The NMFBM went through the same 4x4 much faster.

It was a lot of work.

Okay I figured you knew that. :D Maybe I missed it but did you rework the edge on the 11 or is it the factory edge ?

It was the factory edge, haven't touched it yet. :D

Just my two cents, but maybe also the fact the 4x4 is having the bigger trunk as fulcrum makes that strikes aren't as efficient as they could be, as part of the energy is transformed into vibration. Don't remember how you chopped with the NMFBM or FFBM to compare with, but as the knife is also lighter, it may play a slight role. Anyway, it still a good performance, and Noss proved INFI is tough stuff. Overall, it may be an interesting knife for someone who wants a quality survival chopper and who's ready to have lesser chopping performances compared to the "monsters" NMFBM and FFBM, but for a significant weight gain.

Yes weight does come into play more when you get into harder denser woods.

At 17.2 ounces it would be an excellent field blade that is well above and beyond the performance of similar field blades in it's weight range and some above it. :thumb:
