Hi Gang,
I recently bought a Swedish fire steel & it performs brilliantly.
Was so excited to go camping with it that when i did i forgot to bring a lighter.
Being a smoker every-time i wanted a light i had to start a mini fire!
I turned semi pro at magnesium fire making by the end of the trip!
Here is another interesting fire kit i wanted to share.
Its the RAT/ESSE Cutlery Fire Kit - Mil-Spec Anodized Fire Starter.

I dig that it has a removable / replaceable Misch Metal flint. Also a watertight capsule that has plenty of storage space for tinder, fishhooks, line and other essential survival tools.
It will also fit a button compass in the lid/cap see website pics.
I now carry my Swedish fire steel in a small Sea to Summit dry sack with tinder. Keeps it toasty dry for lighting.
