Welcome the forum.
thanks for the vids... pretty cool.
I prefer to use a way bigger baton for batoning wood though.
although it's not always available.
it seems to be a good chopper for it's size too.
pretty cool. :D

would it really perform THAT much different than the srk?
it's just bigger and thicker isn't it?

i think it would preform alout better than the srk like the srk coud not choop that good
and this thing chops awsome and on the srk weight test it snaped i think the recon scout will not do that

true.
but it still wouldn't tell much different about the "steel" or anything...
mostly it's just alot beefier.
I guess it could make for a good test.
I really just can't wait to see a San mai trailmaster! :D
Great videos. Thanks. I'll see about testing one. Cold Steel knives have done well during the D-tests and outperformed some very expensive competitors.

Thanks for the videos. I see in your cutting test videos you like to keep them real sharp. :D Awsome. I think many of us here would like to see a destruction test on this blade. I find the thick full grind blade's to be extremely useful. And this ones got it. One question that haunts me is the strength of the tang, and more so the junction at the point of the guard. It is a well priced blade, and by many on other reviews it is praised.

I paid $70 for mine. Compared to a Bussekin, that's pennies, lol
