Bayonets (military). Also, how well do they throw. I think a bayonet is that much less if it isn't a good thrower as well.

Noss already tested the american M9 and the russian ak47 (or similar) bayonet. If you have some models precisely in mind, tell it. In my opinion, the throwing test is not that easy to do. Noss have already much much knives left to test, i guess he don't have the time to learn how to throw knives. And the knife is certainly not as important as the thrower himself. The hole digging test in a 2 by 4 and the piercing through metal sheet test both show the quality of the tip involved in knife throwing, and maybe in the next tests Noss could show the center of gravity of the knife, that would give some elements to guess the throwing ability of a knife.

Noss, i could send you a swiss M57 and a czech VZ57. I have ordered ten M57, and wait receiving it to see the edge and point, but considering the VZ, it's absolutely sure i would have to regrind it a bit, it's more than 1mm thick.
If you're interested in d-testing it, just give me an adress to send it to.

if you need a serious thrower, get a grenade. :D


I like bayonets as much as anybody, but if it comes to a choice of taking a bayonet or more ammo, i'll take more ammo very time. :)

I agree I would like to see the new marine corp bayonet tested. A friend brought me one from Iraq and I really like it.
