They come in 5.56(retired?), 7.62(seen in vid), 20mm(anti-air mounts and ah-1 cobra) and the big 30mm on the a-10.

ROF is usually 4000-6000 rpm.

Believe it or not the are only shooting 1 tracer for every 8 rounds shot, so there are 8 rounds fired for each red butted one seen in the video.
They used to shoot 1 in 4 like they do for regular machine guns but that goot really expensive.

I have gotten to play with these alittle, with no ammo.
Held the trigger down and watched the barrel spin.
That was when I was little and my mom was dating this Army reserve heli pilot.

It sounds like you all might like Knob Creek. Twice a year. The best class 3 shoot and show in the country. At least there is no one shooting back at you. The next one will be in Early October.
