Man... what could you possibly need a gun that big for? Forget about shooting Bambi: it'll see it, go "oh hellz no" (related to Will Smith) and die of a heart attack...

I mean I would understand if you were Macgregor... then it'd obviously be for shooting the English (soz Paul) but seriously...

Then again, they do prefer Claymores as EDC...

Thanks Noss!

:D Which one? The rifle is only a .17 and is a really small carbine type of set up. The .44, well yeah, you could deer hunt with that in some states at least, during the proper season.

Here is a link (http://www.excelarms.com/home.html) to the company that makes the .17 rifle. They have some cool stuff that no one else seems to make like a .17HMR semi auto pistol and a .22mag semi auto pistol.

Cybirus55: Welcome to the forum. Nice guns. I have a Mosin-Nagant also but mine does not work well. There is something wrong with the bolt on it. It kicks like a mule.

Not too bad, man

A buddy of mine actually went so far as to "pimp out" a Mosin. The best thing he did was put a compensator on that baby, made a huge difference in recoil.

That Springfield Armory 1911, the 4" inch barrel with the rail, is badass!!! I have been drooling over that gun for months now. Today, during my lunch break, I made a run to my bank and remembered that there was a gun store nearby that I had been meaning to visit. I went in looking for that EXACT Springfield 1911, but ended up leaving prepared to go back and buy the new Heckler and Koch 45 Compact. I don't think that I will truly be happy until I own them both.....and a few more things :D.

Speaking of insane new purchases...
Noss, should I tell them, or are you going to :D

Fantastic. I did a lot of research before I got it. It seems that Falcon used to have some trouble with their two piece designs coming apart. The company has excellent customer service and took care of it, but it caused some people to avoid them. They have fixed this problem and now all their scopes are good to go. The one I have is a one piece tube, so it's all moot point anyway The knobs are crisp and don't feel "mushy" like other cheaper scopes. Granted, it's not like a Schmidt and Bender, but it's also a heck of a lot less money. The image is bright and crystal clear. In low light, it's still pretty good. It holds its zero extremely well. I've got mine sitting in a LaRue SPR 1.5 QD mount. I have removed and replaced this scope many times because the rifle won't fit in my case with the scope on. It is still zeroed right where I left it. This is probably due to a combination of the great mount and the scope, but you shouldn't have to worry about the scope screwing with you.

It was right at $400, so I wasn't expecting too much, but I've definitely been surprised by its quality. I'd get one again anytime.

Automatic or semi?

Semi auto. While fully automatic rifles are legal to get in the United States (with certain restrictions), I wouldn't want a precision rifle that was fully automatic anyway because the barrel would wear out faster with full auto fire. :)

Good deal. I like the reticle they come with. Ive read some reviews on the net in the last few days and most of the feedback seems positive for the most part. They pretty much say the same as you.

Thanks
