Well it was rainy in Central Montana today. Went out back and used the C.S. Kukri to make a survival shelter, split wood (lots of batoning) , dig a fire pit and start a fire. I used a bastard file to sharpen it before starting. It was usable throughout the day. Shaved bark, chopped lots of limbs up to 4-5 inch branches. All in all it took everything we had to throw at it with no chipping, dinging or blade deforming. I'm definitely going to pick up a couple more of these babies!

Man... The only blade I could ever dig with would be one of them Cheap ass machetes...

I'm too attached to my other knives and those things are like the ugly ducklins of the knife world!

Anyway glad you're happy - what other blades did you take? And did you sleep in the shelter?

I only used the C.S. Machete just to see what all it is capable of. I did every dirty thing I could to it (stuff I would not do to my "better" knives." I used it to peel, make fuzzies, dig the fire pit, chop branches, split logs and baton with. I didn't drink enough beer to have the nerve to stay in the shelter he he , but would have if I had to.
