Amen to that. No air conditioning?
Well, maybe it isn't as humid there as it is here. It gets to about 90 every day in the summer with high humidity.

Hey Noss,
Where you at in Texas?
I'm in Lafayette LA. but we only lost power for about 8 hours.
I think you and I are in the same business, after watching the SEAL SOG video.
:headbang:
EMF: Thanks, Yeah it's a long stretch for me at least. I feels longer than 16 days.
BimotaBoy: I'm in Houston. You a diver also ?
LoganSackett: The Humidity in Houston is Hell most all of the year. It runs about 90% day and night.
I installed a small window air condition in the bedroom and was running it on a generator. I bought it a few years back just for this purpose. It came in handy. The rest of the house was a oven. I have my ac on 60 degrees at the monent colling the house down.

Sounds a lot like New Jersey.:D We have a generator too for emergencies. Fortunately, it still works. We found out right before a storm last year that the spark plug was bad. Sure enough the power was knocked out and it was hot as the Devil's lair itself and about as humid as 2 feet up his ass. But the A/C worked with the generator once the spark plug was replaced.

Kinda gives a whole new appreciation for the basic necessities. Glad you're finally pulling out of it, man. I used to live on the Texas coast at Laguna Vista down near Pt. Isabel--wouldn't wish that on a dog this time of year with no A/C. BTW, aren't the mosquitoes eating you up?

People don't realize how hot in can get in jersey.
it hasn't been too bad here, recently though.
unfortunately my family is NOT prepared for emergencies.
we have had some tornadoes come right through our yard too!
still, nothing like the hurricanes down south.
Logan, if you don't mind me asking, what part of jersey are you in?

North and central, about 25 miles west of NY City.
Edit: Near the Plainfields.:thumb:
Will: Yes it does. You take it for granted until you no longer have it.
Yeah the little blood suckers are thick. :thumbdwn:
BimotaBoy: I'm not a commercial diver. I'm just a recreation diver.

Well, you were right. You said before landfall that you would be without lights for about two weeks. No more gasoline!
