Should i get a Ranger RD7 or a Scrap Yard SoD? What would you get?

I would choose the Scrapyard SOD over the Ranger RD-7 if it was me.

Hey guys, I'm at the Scrap Yard shop website and I'm trying to figure out which finish i want for my SOD:). Black or TAn? Tell my why because i am torn between the two. They both look awesome.

Just put in an order for the SOD in tan. Cant wait to get it!!

I think they're both great knives (Ranger and Scrapyard) and don't think you could go wrong with either.

Tan is an unusual color for a knife, and not many are made, well at least for SYs. I went with the LE since I do not have anything that size in Satin. I also really like the Tan.

Black/CG SOD for me. But tan sure would look sweet as well :thumb:

I like LE.
they really will cut a lot better.
they aren't sabre ground and have no coating.

Tan DOES look cool though. IMO.

I really like rangers.
the ranger did very well in noss's test as far as the edge goes.
they hold a good edge and the edges tougher than SY's when thinner.
(though I haven't had many problems with SY edges)

they also have a lot of stiffness/strength.

Rangers edges aren't very good from the factory though and the handles are small for most people.

they're both great knives IMO.
