First time posting and let me just say awesome site man! Talk about a completely honest way to test the effectiveness of these knives. Damn.
So my list:
-More Ka Bars. I'd like to see the next generation and the black fighters tested to see if there is any difference.
-Blackhawk XSF-1 and more Blackhawk knives.
-Woodsman's Pal
-Fallkniven A2
-Any Mission Knife
-Colombia River Fixed blade, First Strike, Ultima, what have you.
-Gerber Fixed Blade.
-Ontario Knives M7 Bayonet and the new Marine Corps version.
-Spyderco fixed blade.
-Cold Steel Master Hunter
I apologize if these knives were already suggested.
Again, awesome site!

good suggestions, although I don't see what could change on the kabar fighters really...
how are they different?
same steel and construction (which is where the kabar failed really) right?
but!...
noss just got a d2 kabar to test, so you're in luck.
:D
welcome to the forum.

I think the regular black ka bars use 1095 cro van steel while the next gen use 440A stainless. I'm sure that they are very similar steel but I was just curious.
A D2 Ka bar you say? Muhaha! Let the pain begin.
The knife I'm most curious about is the XSF-1. I mean, it's a new blade design. How does it stack up against a traditional dagger or bayonet?
I'm looking to replace my ka bar, which I've beaten nearly to hell, but nearly as much as Noss beats his knives. I'm leaning towards the Fallkniven A1. That was a pretty impressive performance.

ohhhh!
the 440a ones?
440a?
it's alot different than 1095 isn't it? (unless you know something i don't)
yeah, I'm curious as to how it would perform, because 440 is really hit or miss, and I always thought 440a was just for cheap crap knives, but you never know!
I don't think the d2 will have as much flex to it as the regular kbar, but I think it COULD (depends on the HT really) be a pretty decent hard user.
and I'd say you can't go wrong with an A1.
and I think noss is doing a bayonet shootout, although I don't know exactly which knives...
check some other threads if you want ... it's there somewhere.
:D
swatmc: Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the suggestions. The A1 is a fantastic knife.
EMF: The M9 bayonet vs it's Russian counterpart.

Thanks Noss. You're a wildman, keep doin what your doing.
EMF, looking forward to that bayonet shootout, sounds fun.

Wecome Swat. You are right about the Next Gen vs Standard Kabars. here is an interesting point about the Kabars. The leather handled USMC has a longer handle than the kraton ones. The difference is about the thickness of the pommel. I've tested this out with my standard leather and the handles on the D2 Extreme, kraton USMC, Tanto and Warthog. All the kratons are the same. So the tang on the Leather one is longer. My leather one is about ten years old and has the sharpened swedge. I wonder if this is the same with the newer made leather?

That's... kinda strange. I wonder why there is a difference.

I'd like to see an Ultima tested. Preferably a combo edge. It'd be interesting to see how those Veff serrations do.
