Hello all. I have been a longtime knife nut. I have memberships at various knife and sword forums. I am a longtime practitioner of Filipino Martial Arts. I am very interested lately in the practical and functional aspects of knives. This is especially for their sharpness and toughness. Some of the people I respect for knife testing are NOSS ( of course ), Jerry Busse, Cliff Stamp, and Lynn Thompson. Please do not flame me as it is only my opinion. Thank you for letting me join the forum in advance.

I did a search on Google recently to see what would come up for the toughest knife. It showed these knives as follows. They are in the same price league range as Cold Steel customs, Busse, Strider, etc...

http://www.crusaderforge.com/

Anybody know anything about these knives? Are they as tough as they are as hyped up to be? The warranty is limited to five years for the original owner and are subject to or limited to certain conditions. For the price they cost that seems kinda' odd to have such a restrictive warranty. I would rather go with Busse if I had that kind of money or even Cold Steel when I don't. Especially when I get something rock solid in INFI, SR77, or SR101 with no limits to the warranty. S30V is a good steel if it is tempered properly. I don't consider it a super steel and it was hot for awhile but I feel it is overpriced when utilized in the Tridents. Thoughts?

shmoopiebear: Welcome to the forum. Crusader Forge blade seem tough or at least they claim them to be super tough. It will be interesting to test one. I hope I can test one sometime down the road.

I am new to this site, and knife sites in general. But I do have two Crusader Forge knives: a TCFM 02, and a Metro tactical. They are beefy. The Metro has become my daily carry, although one has to be careful pulling it out as it is a serious looking "pocket knife". The TCFM 02 is my backcountry carry. I love both, although admit in most instances I don't need nearly this much knife. But they do have a "cool" factor "my knife can beat-up you knife" - type of feeling about them. I don't know that I'll buy another, as last time my wait was considerable (can't remeber but 4+ months?), and Maciej found some office help that was.... uh... not the sharpest tool in the customer service department? Anyway, I'm glad to have them in case I need to cut an I-Beam in half.

I also am wondering about these blades. I wonder, if enough members write to crusader forge, would they send NOSS a free blade or 2 to tear up. They claim to be the toughest knife in the world, Knife tests proves who puts up and whos gotta shut up! I am gonna write them now. we will see if I get an answer.

Schrund: Welcome tot he forum. I do like the CF folder designs. I would love to have the vis o1t if I was going to spend this much money on a folder.

762Bodydropper: I would love to test one. They do make some bold claims about their knives. If I test another s30v blade a CR is on top of my list. I would rather just acquire one on my own and not have to deal with all the drama that sometimes occurs when knives are asked for from makers.
