Hi folks. I've been watching knifetests.com now for about a year, and the site has taken me light years further into my usable knowledge of quality vs cheapo blades. Thanks Noss for your efforts! Just in case you guys haven't seen the Extrema Ratio RAO tested harshly, (almost in Noss-esque fashion) here is a link I found to some still shots that make me far more interested in acquiring this folder, that I won't feel any need to baby. They are not my pics, but they have convinced me that I definitely want one now! Hope this isn't old boring news to you. :smash: http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/jj159/extremaratio-test/

Welcome.

Noss has a RAO. He did a vid on it, but didn't put it through the stresses in those pics. That is one tough knife, folder or not.

Yeah. Well like so many blades, I have Noss to thank for my knowledge of the RAO's existence. But I was really craving some example of how tough that lock really is when it comes to thrust and gouge, as well as lateral strength. Now I know!

trib trekker: Welcome to the forum.

I have seen those photos before but it's cool to see them again. The van parked on the RAO against the curb is just to cool.:cool: My RAO is a folder I treat like hard use fixed blade. I would love to d-test one. Every time I see those photos I get the itch to go beat that damn thing. :D

Even though it's a huge folder it's a great cutter also. ER did a nice jog on the grinds. :thumb:

Yup. Well I wasn't too impressed with the first page of pics (frozen and run over). It was pages 2&3 with the blade in the vice and the guy standing on the handle without the lock pin that sold me!

Yeah that RAO is something else. It's on my hit list as well
