looking at how sharp i can get a knife, what would you say is a fair price to sharpen a blade similar to the one in the vid which has a 4 1/4" long cutting edge. some knife steel isnt as good as the knife in this vid so the edge would be different. the better the steel, the better the edge.

I agree with Noss. $10 for a 4inch knife and maybe $15 For anything larger. Maybe $20 for a reprofile?

koa, you're close to the price i would charge to reprofile a larger knife but also for a smaller more complicated grind knife like a benchmade that i reprofiled. it had been waved and sharpened on the spine also. i would charge about $4.-$5. to resharpen the knife in the video but since its one of mine, that would be free for the life of the buyer or me. a knife the size of k II would be close to $10 just to sharpen. after doing some thinking i decided to stick with my prices that i have always charged since starting out. some guys charge what you guys suggested and dont even come close to what i can do to an edge. i guess you could say i charge $1. an inch depending on the edge thats there.
