This thing is a beast. It isn't very long, but it doesn't get dull. I was chopping all day with it and it was just as sharp at the end of the day as it was when I started. I took out a bunch of small trees that were about four inches thick. I did this only with the knife because I wanted to see how it performed. I was very satisfied with it. Chopping is pretty easy once you are used to it.
The knife cost $111.00 and came with a really nice Airborne Deluxe sheath. If anyone out there is thinking about getting one, go for it.:D

Cool. I've always found Black Hawk knives to be quite the performer. Never owned one myself, but they seem very good.
It would be nice to get some pics. ;)
LoganSackett: Welcome. Black Hawk has some very interesting designs. I have never owned one.
Got some Photos ?

Man that is a cool looking knife. I havn't looked at the Blackhawk site in ages. I've noticed that they didn't carry over many of the MOD designs when they took them over. The handle seems to have the skate board tape insert. What is the rest of the handle made from? Is is soft or hard like on the original MOD knives?

The rest of the handle is some kind of high impact resistant plastic. The shape is very good at keeping your hand on the knife. It doesn't rock back and forth like some other knives I've used.

Better late than never. Cool looking blade. I really like the handle on it. :thumb:

I have handled the Tatang at gunshows and man does the sucker feel good in my meaty palms.
Great blade with a great balance.
It is definatly on my list.
I like the double edge as a "damage edge" for choping wires and such, since it is a combatish type survival knife.

Besides the standard product blurb, this is the only thing I've been able to find on this knife. Is there any more information available out there?

I would've preferred the HK416, but sadly they were removed from our inventory.

Blu Falcon, I think the Nightedge is worth the money.
