View Full Version : Question: Fenix TK-10
Do any of you crazy bastards have this torch, or know any of the specs outside of things I can read or watch on Youtube?
I have an opportunity to get one and would like to know more about it from an actual user.
Also, other torch recommendations would be appreciated as well.
$80-$120
EDC Capable
Min output-60 lumens
Min runtime on low- 6 hours.
These are the specs I am interested in.
Hell yes. I have one. It's a great torch. During my power outage because of hurricane Ike. It was used a ton. On low mode the batteries lasted 16 days of heavy intermittent use. I finally had to change them a few days later after my power came back on. I would sometimes use turbo mode if I needed to scan the property at night. On turbo mode it is very bright little bastard. The brightest torch I own. I say get one. It's a bargain for sure. :thumb:
It also took some good drops on the concrete driveway when I was refilling the generators so it pretty durable.
That was all I needed! Thank you for the input, Noss.

I just ordered two myself. I always mess with Noss' Fenix when I am over there, and I am really impressed with it. Also, when I come home and use my crappy little flashlights, I feel empty inside :D .
TWICE AS BRIGHT AS NOSS :D. THE EFFING CAMERAMAN
Twice as bright my ass !!!

I have two, an LD-10 which uses one AA batery(gave to my wife) and a PD-30 for me which uses two CR123A, regular or recharageable. They both have really cool switches which allow for varried situations, they also come new with a strap, case and extra O rings and button cover.
Great products.

Kurodrago, Here are some specs:
LD-10 R5 LED, 1AA battery, 100 lumens max, 87m beam distance, run time max 70 hrs.
PD-30 R5 LED, 2 CR123A batteries, max lumens 257, 127m beam distance, max run time 126 hrs.
I liked the first one so much I bought the second, they work great.

I would also consider the LED Lenser P7, has less lumens (167) but has the ability to adjust from focus or flood (if you need that sort of thing), runs on AA batteries, and they last a decent length of time, roughly the same size but perhaps slightly cheaper.
