I'm just a newbie to the forum, but I recently tested the Ka Bar Fin #5557 (tanto).
I took it with me on a recent hunting trip to test it.Mostly because I couldn't find anything about this knife anywhere.

Granted, I did not do a TRUE TO HOYLE Noss test, but this knife is awesome!!

Hacked through a bear carcass in record time;bone and all.
Not much good as a skinner though,as I expected.
No gouges in the blade after minor batoning.
I say minor because the blade is only about 5" or so.

All in all an excellent knife.
Anyone thinking of buying this knife should certainly pull the trigger.

I'd still like to see how it stacks up to one of Noss's tests though.

Any test is a good test to me, the more info we have the better the decision can be made for those cosidering a purchase. Thanks! And welcome to the forum. :)

Damnit!!! I have been talking myself out of buying this knife for months now, and after reading how good it is, well out comes the credit card from its spring-loaded holster. After all, we don't get many bears in Texas, especially in the outskirts of Houston.....but I am damn sure gonna be prepared when one does mosey on down my street. That's just smart planning, right? :D

COME GET SOME, BEAR! THE EFFING CAMERAMAN

Awesome.
I sure hope this knife can stand up to most of Noss's tests, because so far every knife that I've bought from the Falkniven A-1 to the Busse combat knives have passed with flying colors.Hell, even my Cold Steel Kukri did pretty good (especially considering it's $14.99).

C'mon Ka-Bar Fin, make papa proud!!!
