No to be disrespectful or anything but I don't think those knives will fair very well.

First of all, many of them have a massive swedge which will make baton bad and hard.

Wait... I take that back, first of all, all of them have a deep hollow ground. Hollow grounds are really weak for anything besides slicing.

This is what happens when you baton with a hollow ground knife

Grind type is an extremely important issue in knife ability.

And second of all, they've got a massive swedge.

I hate to break it to you...
but that BM would've probably suffered damage had it been flat ground too...
honestly, they probably don't HT they're 154cm for hard use at all.

thats why it chipped... hollowgrinds can be tough.
:D

Well, no

I actually previously chopped with my BM Grip. I had some old hard wood that was just lying around 3 inch thick or so. I got about half way, GTX handles aren't that comfy to chop with, and stopped. No edge damage and it was still sharp.

ehhh...
still.
I just don't think it's very tough...
I would even say it's brittle...
but I've never used one so what do i really know?
:D

just my impressions.

Well, Grips aren't that tough in their steel

154cm at 60 hardness tends to be brittle

Grips of 154cm. Man what a rip off. My two are 440c. Even my more modern knives are getting old lol.

Oh my. There are some very nice looking knives on the website. Expensive. But very very nice.
