my first Swamp rat

Hello,

I bought this Sawamp Rat about 2 days ago. It is an excellent knife, a good cutter and it feels great in the hand (it is very balanced). The blade is D2 but I have no idea which model it is. If anybody can tell me....

I also put my NMSFNO on the picture just to give an idea of the size

Faudrait former un fan club français des Busse, Swamp Rat et autre Scrap Yard...Bon, on est déjà deux.

Great! Though, personnally, to take one of these mentionned, i would have prefered INFI, but anyway. It's allways a pleasant thrill to make new asquisitions.

Tu métonnes !!!Sans compter qu'en France, on n'est pas si nombreux à aimer ce type couteaux....

translation : sure, moreover we are not so many in France to enjoy this kind of knives.

I really appreciate this pair : the NMSFNO is a great camp knife, not too big but strong enough to take a lot of stress and the swamp rat is great for small tasks.

About it, what's the usable lenght of edge on this Swamp Rat? "Small tasks" doesn't seem too small! (compared to what nordic people consider a multiuse small knife, about 4" blade, sometimes even less, but still extremely usefull)

the blade is about 5" ans the edge is about 4". You are right, it is not such a small blade...
