My rechargeable battery wouldn't charge all of sudden. So, I blamed on it on the charger. Ordered a better charger through Bosch. It wasn't the charger. So, I ordered a new battery from Bosch. It was the old battery. Then I look around for some information and see where you could get a car battery charger and reverse the polarity on the drill battery using the leads from the car battery charger and plug the car battery charger into the outlet for a couple of seconds. Now, the old battery will charge again. I like doing everything ass backwards.

My charger just went out on my drill. I think it fried one of my batteries also. I need a new drill anyways.

I agree. It's become a throw away tool.

Yeah they are cheap now a days. Of course you can some high dollar ones also. The best one I ever had was a Bosch. It took a beating and lasted for over 3 years of heavy use. In the end it had duck tape holding the battery on since the clip broke when the drill fell about 20 feet off the ladder and hit the concrete. It still worked up until the batteries just gave out.

Batteries suck! But are a necessity : (

I could go on a rant about camera, harley, portable phones, power tool, flask light and on and on !

The new pre-charged AA and AAA for my camera flashes and other suff seem promising as they require less charge cycles and may (?) last a bit longer ; (

The telephone battery cost more than the telephone is worth which forces me (frugal) to search the internet for a less expensive replacement : ( I am not ranting yet am I ?

I had a skill. It lasted me about 2 months. The batteries it came with were the worst ever. They were 14.4 volt's but compared in weight to a Ryobi 14/4 volt battery. They only weighed about a 1/4 of the weight. I don't think there was much battery in the package. I wanted to tear them open to see if they just put a few double A's in there or something. They were a joke.

I've had good luck With Ryobi for a cheaper drill.
