I am interested in compiling a list of essential camp supplies in various conditions and or just what others consider essential or useful when outdoors camping, hiking, fishing, bicycling. . .

Water – Food – Snacks – Fire Starting devices - Military Canteen - Military Cup - Flash Light - Tent – Tarp – Para Cord - Wire - Tie Wrap – Sleeping Bag – Hammock – Foam Mat – Pillow – Insect Repellant – Pepper Spray – Compass – GPS – Signal Mirror – Space Blanket – Rain Poncho – Emergency Shelter – Back Pack – Duffle Bag – Extra (larger) Storage Sack for Tent – Plastic Storage Bags - Large Garbage Bags - Hat - Fishing Line and Hooks - Surgical Tubing.

Medical Kit? What is considered essential?

Guns? A gun should be essential most of the time. Too bad in our current state of affairs it would cause more trouble with the law than its worth? Laws need to change?

Bow and Arrow?

I carry an assortment of fire starting supplies; match, lighter, rubber inner tube, cotton balls coated in petroleum jelly, packaged waxed tinder, fire steel, magnesium and fire steel combination.

My current camp cutlery items are Swiss Army Knife, Mora knife, Cold Steel Kukri, Folding Saw, Axe with about a 20 inch handle.

I currently view a very large proven tough knife, machete more useful when camping than a small knife and a small 20 inch axe is easier for me to prepare fire wood.

I need to add to my med kit. I just have a few basics. Like aspirin and some bandage wrap and a snake bite kit.

Remember who has to carry all this stuff. At 45 ive started camping at the marriott so my list has become smaller.

I usually just pack a .45 pistol, a .22 long rifle, a kabar heavy bowie, a crk pacific, and some canned food. I usually try to hunt my own food if possible (rabbit, squirrel, etc.) With some para cord and a tarpaulin you can make a good improv shelter just about anywere.

As far as a medical kit goes. I tend to carry enough to cover basic trauma. I will probably pick up a body/wound stapler soon. SHort term big cuts are a concerm in the back country. Stapler makes it much easier to do by yourself.
