Very nice test of the Zero Tolerance knives.

Interesting that they seem to be at a public park to perform these tests.

I watched these videos about a month ago. Interesting results. Good to see them again. :thumb:

I thought so too, for a folder the 0301 did pretty well, the results were as I expected them to be though.

I have a ZT 0301 comming so I will let you all know what I think about it when it gets here. Going to compare it to my Recon 1, I know it's not really fair because the 0301 is an over built knife.

I think they would have done much better if he wouldn't have missed with that 8 LB sledge hammer.

Those are really interesting tests, and I think they performed pretty well, of course the folders are not the same as the fixed blade but they still performed really well for folders.

The frame lock in the last vid looked like it unlocked pretty easy when tapped into the wood with the hammer. I wouldn't expect a folder to take very hard hits, but still seemed like it released kind of easy.

I think it was the way he was holding it, me might have pushed it over when he was hitting it.

I wish he would have worked the lock mechanism on the folders to see if there was any damage. They did take some good hits from a heavy hammer.

I read the thread on blade forums this morning. :D Some of those idiots don't understand anything about anything. In their minds those knives should have been given to them instead of D-Testing. :jerkit::rolleyes:

No, they don't have a clue. LOL

Looked like the lock on the 0301 was working fine, he was holding it weird I think.

I'm not sure why some of them go into the testing section there. Knives are going to get damaged during testing. Finishes are going to get scratched. Blades may be broken. It's the nature of the beast.

I like the looks of the ZT folders. I just hate spending that much money on them. They look solid for folders though.

I will let you know once mine gets here what I think of it. It will be my 1st non CS folder in a long time, but I wanted something that was tough. I like the AO feature too and the blade profile.

Yeah I know the RAO is tough, but I wanted something to fit in my pocket. :D

The vid doesn't show what is happening and the reviewer doesn't say anything, but it looked like the lock may have bounced out of engagement and he had to keep relocking it.

I don't think it can because of the retaining nut that hold the liner so it can't be over extended. I think he pushed the lock over by the way he was holding it when he hit it with the hammer.
